Information You Provide
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that returns the results. Lakewood Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, we use the contents of your message only to respond.
Automatically Collected Details
The hosting service creates ordinary server logs, such as an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review aggregated information to maintain the service and understand which Lakewood reference pages are used. Cookies or comparable technologies may be used for basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the service, address technical problems, measure traffic, and improve the reference material. We neither sell visitor lists nor create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
The Lakewood reference links to Cuyahoga County and Ohio records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The policies of those services govern information submitted to them, including information submitted through sponsored search results supplied by a third party.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Providers that host or support the service process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatically collected data described above. Information is disclosed only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes described above. Because the Lakewood reference has no user accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data held by a website. Ohio has no broad consumer-deletion or universal-opt-out law that removes valid public records. Ohio Revised Code Chapter 1354 is a cybersecurity safe-harbor framework, not a comprehensive privacy statute, and it creates no private right of action. Because this service keeps very little, a request usually involves checking the contact mailbox and available server logs, then removing information found there. Use the Contact page to make a request. Records held by a Lakewood, Cuyahoga County, or Ohio custodian remain under that custodian’s control and the Ohio Public Records Act, R.C. 149.43; direct correction or redaction requests to the office that holds the record.
Policy Updates
